Our vision

Cappelen Damm Akademisk established Nordic Open Access Scholarly Publishing (NOASP) with the firm conviction that our editorial competence would be of great value to the academic sectors in all of the Nordic countries. Publishing an ongoing journal or an anthology of articles takes time and resources, not least of their editors. All peer-reviewed content slated for Open Access publication, whether a single article in a journal or a lengthy monograph, must be put through the same rigorous process – in terms of content, linguistically and technically – before it is ready to be released. We provide journal editors, authors and their colleagues, editorial and technical support through this process.

We have great faith in an efficient division of labor, where researchers devote their time to research, writing and peer review, while publishers handle production, marketing and practical operations such as assisting with application processes and safeguarding routines for peer review.

We aspire to be leaders in the Open Access arena, and for NOASP to be synonymous with the highest standard of quality in Open Access publishing.
